Sharonne N. Hayes, MD, FACC, is the director of the Mayo Clinic's Women's Heart Clinic. She is a clinical cardiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and associate professor of medicine and cardiology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. She also is associate director of CardioVision 2020, a community health initiative to promote heart health, and president of the Olmsted division of the American Heart Association.

Rubens Pamies, MD, an expert in minority health and education as well as a doctor of internal medicine, is the vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean for graduate studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is in the process of writing a book on multicultual medicine and health disparities.
