goals To empower libraries to play an active role in increasing the quality and years of healthy life and eliminating health disparities for all Americans, especially African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and Native Americans. To provide librarians with resources and strategies that can help them better serve the public's need for health information and connect to minority consumers in their communities. To develop useful health-related materials that focus on the science behind certain diseases, their causes, possible cures, treatments, promising research, and other pertinent issues. |
